We raise awareness and push policy change to address the root causes and disproportionate impacts of environmental hazards on low-income communities and communities of color. We envision a society where all people live in healthy and safe communities regardless of race or socioeconomic status.

Mapping for Environmental Justice (MEJ) provides high quality, easy-to-use, and community-informed environmental justice maps. We provide technical assistance to organizations and agencies that wish to use these maps for advocacy and decision-making. MEJ’s maps and the conversations they engender are one piece in the process of preventing future environmental injustices and remediating past harm.
